A Very Important Question For Torontonians

I want to ask you:

What is your number one favourite thing about Toronto? The one thing that, in your opinion, makes Toronto the best city in the world? What makes you proud to call this city home? Is it…

All the green space and nature, like High Park?

Festivals like Taste of the Danforth?

Kensington Market's Pedestrian Sundays?

The fact that Toronto is a green leader among global cities?

Toronto's Enthusiastic Support of the Home Team?

The City Skyline and Toronto's Waterfront?

The way we support and encourage our youth with community-based programs?

What we’re going to do, once you submit your response, is to discuss which candidate is best suited to protect and enhance YOUR favourite thing about Toronto.

So? Tell me! What do you love best about Toronto?

I like the fact that I can get on the subway and not always hear english. So I would say the multi-culturalism and diversity of the population.

And High Park- west end rulz!!

BIKE LANES. Can we talk about those please? Do you think this is a job for individual ward councillors or the city? I vote more bike lanes, but I don’t believe they should be on main arteries.

Although I do have many opinions on the annette bike lane, if you’d like to know!

I love Toronto because of its diversity. Here in Toronto, people come from various parts of the world and even from other provinces within Canada and have chosen to call Toronto home.

In addition, it is great to see this diversity reflected in our schools, workplaces, places of worship, entertainment etc.
We are diverse and strong because like jelly beans, we stick together inspite of our colour, creed or race. We are in no way perfect but as we grow and work together, our borders will become stronger. Way to go Toronto!

  • Mr. Will-W.

We are a city of taste. We get everything first.

I like everything about it. There is no lack of things to do, and see.

I like Toronto because it’s multicultural. Many cities are, but I feel that Toronto really embraces its multiculturalism. <3

Toronto is great because it’s multicultural,it has top notch entertainment. There’s something for everyone,no matter what religion or back ground Toronto has it covered.

I like the variety of neighbourhoods. In my spare time I like to “travel” to a different part of the city to experience different stores, restaurants and culture etc. Every neighbourhood in Toronto feels like an individual small town. So I guess Festivals like Taste of the Danforth etc would be closest?

I like the fact that so damn much goes on and can be had in Toronto. Amazing film festivals, cool ass things like Nuit Blanche, street festivals celebrating different cultures, new stores, new trends, new bands. There is always something being born in this city and so you’re always on the bleeding edge of everything if you want to be. I don’t even worry about not having access to something I want to be a part of. That’s an amazing thing about Toronto–sheer access to every damn thing.

I love Toronto for so many reasons. Most improtantly, I love Toronto for it’s diversity! People come from all over the world and can call Toronto home. The fact that several different cultures can co-exitst peacefully and equitably in a single city is amazing. I love Toronto for it’s health care system, police services and transit. I love Toronto’s beaches and boardwalk, CN Tower and the entertainment! There’s so much to love!!!!
